Review of Timespro Banking Course

Timespro Banking Course

Times of India has launched a banking course targeting fresh graduates.

This course though can give understanding of banking operations and processed but for sure is not a replacement of a professional qualification.

Student looking to build a long term career should focus on more structured courses like CA, CFA or CIMA.

Review Summary:

  1. Timespro banking course is a good course for getting knowledge of banking operations and process. It can certainly give edge to a candidate in comparison to only graduates.
  2. 6 month duration diploma course can never be a replacement of a professional qualification and thus may be only a short term solution for the students looking to get a job.
  3. Fees @ Rs. 85,000 seems to be quite high, this being a short term course.
  4. Certification is given by Times of India group, which will be valid only for the banks with which TOI group has tieups.

  • Will this pgdbm degree by timepro help in getting a job by other banks who are not in collaboration with this institute?

    • Well this course first of all does not guarantees a job with any bank. They just provide you a chance to appear for interviews with 3 banks. So if we say other banks then they may or may not consider this qualification

        • It's all about our future, career & we have to take Care of ourselves. All the above comments inspired me to get right direction as well as decision.
I will not go for it.
          Thanku

      • Sir tell me hdfc modern banker program is gud or not? i belong to a middle family so its tough to pay 56k for 2 months, and if i manage to pay this amount then what will be job surity and promotional chances in future should I join this???

        • This program is a direct tie up with HDFC so, chances of job will be higher. Though is you are thinking of long term then this may not be the ultimate choice. However if you have financial constraints, you can try this program get a job and then keep studying on this side.

      • Hi I am study in Hyderabad branch after my completed my course till now I am not get a job .waste money and time so friend no need to job Timespro

        • Dear Raju,
I think not getting a suitable opening in your professional career is due to lack of sharpness in your communication.
Being a job consultant I can tell you that every company looks for a candidate having "excellent communication" and in banking it is a must be in English.
Your writing skill shows a major drawback in English communication. In writing something, when you are getting an ample of time to review what you are writing, shows so weak it depicts that either you are really weak in English or you are not serious in a activity where you are engaged.
I don't know much about TimesPro but seems it a business institution, they will obviously intake you in their course as you are giving them money, inspite of your other drawbacks. And in a short span of time they will just complete their course material, not improving your shortfall in other aspects (like here is English communication in case of yours).
My advice is, if you want to crack a interview please improve your English communication, boost up with self confidence and forward.

  • TP is just a institute of those person whom only want a job...if aspirant think that i want to placed as a managerial level post or in operation then you are on the wrong track...Tag lin of this institute is graduate to professional...and sales job is also a profession ...so if you want to become sales i.e pure inbond sales ...then go ahead and deposit the fee...but if u want to get in operation or a high level profile then dont EXCEPT from TP...
